The Freedom From Faith Foundation's HALL OF RECORDS

Post 1

COPY of the forum posting that I left with the Historical Society:

Over at the Freedom From Faith Foundation, we've started a system that incorporates a linked series of book reviews and critiques. The purpose of this is manifold; to stop people from spending their hard earned wad on a book that turns out to be a complete duffer; a means of discovering other works by your favourite non-fiction authors, or of finding similar works on the subjects that interest you; a way of checking references via your fellow writers here at h2g2; and so on.

However, the aims of the FFFF are not the aims of the Historical Society. We aim to discover the hidden; to expose the crooked; to peel away the myths; and to eff the ineffable. If anyone would like to submit a review, please feel free, but also please take a moment to look round the Foundation's home page to get a taste of what we are after.

http://www.h2g2.com/A275122 is the link to the Hall Of Records main page. Entries are listed by title, by author, and by subject(s). Review should include all this information, together with ISBN numbers to aid your fellow man in tracing books they're interested in.

http://www.h2g2.com/forumframe.cgi?forum=34654&thread=42100 is the forum for leaving word that you have a review ready to post, or an idea for any changes and improvements you would like to see. Bear in mind that this is extremely new, so please be patient if any bugs exist.

If you have not come across the Freedom From Faith Foundation previously, please follow the link from my home page as I can't remember the reference!

Like it says, it won't work unless people contribute, so I wanted to draw a lille attention to it and I was hoping you could help in that department!!!

It IS very new; I've only posted it today. There will be bugs somewhere, and there is only one book review at the moment. I'm quite happy to do the legwork (Umm, fingerwork?) to keep it up to date, but I need reviews!

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
