The internet for me makes a dull job tolerable. It helps me find information on all kinds of subjects that would take hours to find in a library. Through it i have made contact with all kinds of like minded individuals, from all over the planet, at the price of a local phone call. It helped me begin to conquer my depression through this contact and info finding. I made new friends through the internet and visited London for the first time on my own, just to meet them in the flesh, and was that a great weekend! I could certainly live without it, but life with it is more fun...

That is how I feel about it. It has added a lot to my life.
I have made nice new friends, here in London and around the world.
I even ended up getting my job through it - which is way too wild to handle!

I agree.... If it wasn't for the internet I wouldn't be where I am now! I left school early to be a musician, Ha! When that turned out to be not as profitable as I had hoped, I decided to teach myself web design.
I thought that the Internet was going to be huge and that thought payed off. I have worked on sites like the Sydney Opera House among others and I have gained excellent experience to start a good career.
Thanks to H2G2, I am now spending even more time online!
