Friday Night
Munchkin Started conversation Mar 21, 2003
So, how come, all week my Conversations box is fu tae burstin wi nonsense and dafties and yet, as soon as I log on at home on a Friday night it goes quiet as the grave? What's that about? Is it some sort of tease or am I just subscribed to entirely the wrong conversations. I ideally want ones that are dormant for weeks on end, only suddenly waking up on the third Friday of every time I'm bored. Sheesh, is it too much to ask for the world to revolve around me?

I would like to point out I know exactly how much they cost. Any extra on my card and I will have words.

What's all this about having less time to be on hootoo once you get to Edinburgh?

Oh dear , Poor Dr. Munchkin
Do you only have one Friday off a month? Or one weekend off a month?
Anyway, I shall try to be more constant in my correspondence from now on!!.

Mmmm - mail order Valkeries.
Just think of the adverts
Personally, I predict a large increase in drunken late-night postings from munchers here. Probably worms related...

Indeed, I'm normally off having fun without a VDU.
Sadly there is a good chance that my new job will actually make me work, away from my works laptop and all, which will reduce my daytime phaffing here. Still I'll just have to make up for it in the evenings.

That's something you should have taken into consideration when negotiating your contract. No intenet access, no deal.

I hope the flat has 2 phone lines. I hate to think of the two of you queueing up to make funny noises at the BOF.

We'll be looking to get one of these snazzy broadband thingumy jiggers which should let us both post to our hearts content of an evening.
Sadly EV, the job in Edinburgh was a bit of a case of, "Well if you want to move north, you'll do this, but we can always leave you down south if it gets dificult for us."

I can highly recommend said broadband thingummy jiggers. I can have me desktop on hootoo, and me laptop on work at the same time!
And as for chatting on hootoo across a room, yup, I can picture it now....

I run broadband in my flat at the moment and find it painfully slow, but it is only the basic level.

I have every intention of getting a half decent speed. Then again i have every intention of becoming a multi-millionaire and owning Madagascar, but I haven't made much progress yet.
