Kensington's bored, apparently...

Post 1

Nick O`Teen

He seems to be taking advantage of my weakened condition to start asking me for his own page on H2G2. I told him that I didn't have any time to maintain it for him, but he insists that he can maintain it by himself.

If you've ever seen Kensington type on a keyboard... well, let's just say that you have to be very patient... smiley - smiley

Silly weevil. I told him I'd think about it.

Ooh, I for one would love to hear the great wisdom of Kensington. Go on, Nick, give him a chance smiley - smiley

Well, after over forty-five minutes on hold with Telus, I finally got my e-mail problems sorted out, so I should be able to give Kensington his own h2g2 account soon.

He's very excited.

I finally got an e-mail address for Kensington and his very own h2g2 page. He was working on his page for about two and a half hours once I got him set up. Thank god I've got a laptop he can use.

Naturally, I made him a member of the church. smiley - smiley

You could have told me here and now (or here and then?) what his homepage was - now I have to go all around the houses trying to find the darned thing... He better be interesting!

Oops, sorry. I hope you didn't go searching about much to find him. I did say I made him a member of the church which means there's a link to his page on the church page.

Apparently he's found your post on your page and replied. He's very excited that someone finally said hello to him. I don't think he slept much last night, so excitied was he.

I went and had a look at his page after he asked me if he could dictate my messages. From the looks of it, he doesn't appear very clever, does he? Well, it's just his english is bad, as is his typing. I've offered to type his messages for him, but he wants to do it all himself. I'm trying to help him with his english, and he seems to pick up some words from other posts, when he's paying attention. Of course, he only seems to be paying attention to posts directed at him.

He's much more intelligent than he appears. He spent an awfully long time typing his reply to your post.

By the way, I liked your completely unfounded poke at my typing skills. Ha ha, very funny. Kensington's been talking to the other weevils about his h2g2 adventures ever since you replied.

A day is just not complete without a completely unfounded poke. But I thought you'd enjoy that one smiley - winkeye I haven't managed to check his reply yet, as for some reason I forgot to give my original message a subject, and on my homepage there is a total blank where the clickable subject heading link normally is. Oops. Guess I'm not totally perfect after all smiley - smiley

I hate it when I forget to enter a subject. The forum is stuck like that forever. Too bad you can't go back and fix it.

I'll have to tell Kensington that you're probably going to post a reply on his page. He's playing with some other weevils over beside the couch.

So there's no way to fix the missing subject mistake? That isn't fair! I shall have to add some judicious bookamrks to make responses easier. Oh, I said i was going to set up a new forum on the church page - well, I ought to do that then, really smiley - smiley

Kensington's still typing...

Blimey, he's a persistent little devil, isn't he.

Post 13

Nick O`Teen

He's very excited. I told him how to make smilies in his messages but he can't type shifted characters unless the key is right beside a shift key. Perhaps I should tell him about caps lock.

The poor little mite (oh, I guess technically he isn't a mite?) - there must be some clever way round it - can he not get some helpful weevil chums along to hold down the shift key for him whilst he wanders off to the other key?

Nick O`Teen

He doesn't want any help. He wants to do it all himself. Like I said: Silly weevil.
