I have just got the results back from the University Lifelong Learning essay that almost drove me back to 
, and the accompanying exam I took last week: 68 per cent for the essay, and a provisional 60 per cent for the exam. As the pass mark is 40 per cent, that'll do very nicely. 
knows how I managed that score in the essay. It was my first attempt at academic writing, and I honestly felt as if I hadn't a clue what I was doing. 
The tutor certainly wasn't being kind: another student who I was sure would cope easily failed on both counts. 
I attribute my reasonably good exam result to my use of a h2g2 pen. What better source of inspiration could one have?

Did you knot know that is the secret to acadamia...........if you don't know what you are doing, you will pass, if you did, you will fail, cos then the tutor would have to admit that they don't know the answer either
