Hi Mina, I had a look at your postings (as promised). Paris, yes very nice - Wildlife gardening, an interesting choice from the muse of bondage! and then I stumbled across your article on tatooing and piercing... much more like it!
It raised some interesting chat, particularly about choice of design and about how much of other peoples feelings you have to take into account when your having one done.
My big bug bear was my mum, as far as she is concerned she gave berth to a perfect child and I've gone and ruined it! (you must have some sympathy for this point of view!) Being the arrogant b*****d I am I went ahead and did it anyway, I just didn't show her for some time untill I was challenged by my Aunt at a christmas party. It shouldn't have been to much of a shock because I was allready sporrting about 15 facial piercing at the time! I guess she was just in denial. We've since talked about it and agreed to differ. Out of respect I don't usually show them of at home. I don't think she''ll ever understand my passion but she's accepted that I have'nt radically changed as a person and that I'm still her baby boy at heart!

I think my parents don't like it because they don't think it's 'proper' for a woman. I didn't tell them when I had them done, and then sort of forgot that they didn't know, and they were exposed in the summer. My dad uncannily knew what one was, but he thought it wasn't, if you know what I mean. I've got one on my back that's the adapter thing from a 45 record, and he thought it looked like one, but wasn't.
When I had the first nipple pierced, I went with my brother, and he had his done, and I did get asked by my dad if I'd had the same thing done as him, so I said yes. They don't disaprove enough to comment on them, but the disaprove enough to ignore them. My dreads are not so easy to ignore, but they try. Still, I'm old enough not to worry what they think, I have my own family now.
I still want another tattoo, although I think I'm finished with piercing, but it's getting the energy together to go and make the appointment. I have to go to a place 20 miles away, and I can't make an appointment by phone. Bloody ridiculous if you ask me. Still, I want the thing down. I need to get some cash together to get it, it's not really much, but there's always some fetish party to go to instead.

Isn't allways the way! I just had a long chat with pegasus about the advantages of having to save for your tattoo's. At least you've had plenty of time to think about it and make sure it's right before you have it done...
But on the other hand - How cool would you look going to the next fetish night with a brand new tattoo!
Life's just not fair!!!
I'm intigued about this record adaptor thingy? Is this a peircing or a tatoo ( I can't remember weather you mean the shiny bullet shaped thing ie a plug like I wear in my streached lobe, or the plasticy bit?)

Hi, Mina... about every other time I come to visit your userpage, I can not find the Mina My Muse!!! thread... Well, I don't want to start a third or fourth one of that name, so I've decided to join one of your more current conversations, and this chat about Tattoos looks interesting.
Sorry for the interruption.
Please have some cheesecake!!!

It's the plastic bit in the middle. Apparently it has a name, but I can't remember it.

Cool, I still can't quite imagine it but I'm thinking it might be similar to the one I have on my right shoulder, It's a japenese symbol which means 'Turning of the universe' and it's sort of a round shape which looks like it's got three '6's radiating from the centre(although I didn't notice this at the time!)
It was the second Tattoo I had done and I adapted it from a design I saw on the wall of Lionel's Tattoo shop in Oxford.
Since the I have designed and drawn up all my own Tattoo design's .
I have had Tatoo's from a No. of places but I've kind of settled on Alex Binnie's shop 'Into You' In London.
P.S I 've just been mucking about with a web-cam at work so if you really want to see my Tattoo's let me know!

They are here, photoshop said it didn't recognise one, and the other was too large for it.
I'll give paint shop pro a go when I'm a bit less busy.

Thank you very much
I live in London but I'm currently working in Scotland, on an Estate in the Highlands. I've been here since April but I'm finishing in two weeks! (yeay!) Soon I can return to the bright lights, fragrent smells and rich exhast fumes of the big smoke!

What do you do up there?
And as you'll be back soon, have you heard of the Great Xmas (season) party we'll be having in January?

I'm working on a BBC one Drama. We're in a little village in the middle of the highlands, it sounds very romantic but (as you can tell by my one and only journal entry!) it's really quite a dull place to live!
I have heard about the Xmas meet, I'm not sure about the dates/times though, I'm presuming they will be posted some where obvious nearer the date.
It would be fun to meet some of youse guys in RL, but as I work freelance it's often hard to know where I'm going to be...
Wearabouts are you based? (apart from your dungeon I mean!)

I'll find it and let you know so you can look.
I come from Essex, not far out of London.
