Or a screen-cap from a film?

Re-enactment. In non-plague years, they regularly attack this house in a Philly neighbourhood.
Which is far from the weirdest thing they do there. Like throwing Tasty Kakes off Eastern State Penitentiary while dressed in 18th-century French costumes, and then guillotining a watermelon.

Watermelons would be in season in September.

There's more than one website on the battle of Germantown. Late September, early October, mostly. Was there more than one battle? Was there fighting in July?
yes, watermelons might need to be imported anyway.

No, you're confusing two things. The Battle of Germantown doesn't involve watermelons. That's the Bastille Day ceremony.

What a very special time for me,
as I remember what a fight!

Dmitri, in posting 2 you segued to Bastille Day without mentioning that you were no longer talking about Germantown. I should have caught the implication, I admit. If it were a visual scene rather than a written one, I would have picked up the change.
