Cats are by nature socially distant and embarrassed by the antics of immature dogs, especially puppies (good grief, get down -don't jump over everybody, like a ...puppy)

Someone studied the degree to which cats and dogs could bond with their humans.Turns out they are equally good at this.

Maybe cats only pretend to be distant? smiley - winkeye

TJ smiley - cat is much more insistent about being petted and fussed over than Lola smiley - dog.

Yes, but that's a good thing. very few axe murderers are animal lovers. Not that I know a large sample of such personally. smiley - whistle

It's a sign - animal cruelty. I wonder if it applies to being nasty to editors?

smiley - blush

I wouldn't be intentionally mean to editors. I'm just marching to a very different drumbeat. And maybe -- just maybe -- I like to argue. I'm far from perfect. And I feel this terrible guilt sometimes. smiley - sadface

I remember the kerfuffle when I put something in my name about sleeping cats. I like to watch antics of kittens dashing all around the place, chasing their tails, or getting their paws caught in yarn, or chasing strobe lights smiley - laugh. It was always about the most positive aspects of cats, not meaning to put them down. And then there's the debate about black and white versus color. I love orange tiger cats. The orangeness of them is a huge part of my love for them. I'm lucky to have someone else's cat in my yard form time to time.

I'd be hapy to let them chase the mice in my house. If they could do so quietly and without wrecking my stuff, that is. probably too much to ask. smiley - yikes

If your stuff is in a cat's way, that's too bad for the stuff. smiley - rofl

Simba smiley - cat, has began to follow me into the bathroom (shower room), to me that he needs feeding. It is difficult to take a photograph as he keeps on moving his head away from the camera.
