I decided to just submit this...

There's an old Entry about this topic: A3361150

I thought it would be good to have a new one in addition to the old one. Hopefully people will understand what I say now. smiley - winkeye

I hope it's not too boring. Took me quite a while to collect all this.

Why have a new one? Why not just update the old one?

"ta" isn't really an acronym. It's just a word which means "thank you" in the UK.

Because I'd hate to loose the old one. It's rather interesting to see the differences between then and now and then. I even linked to the old Entry.

ok, thanks, I'll jsut take it out

OK, It would probably be best for us to rename the old entry, in that case. What title would you suggest for the old entry?

I'd just add the year when it was written (2005 I think).

Maybe in 10 years someone comes and writes another one.smiley - winkeye

That seems a very sensible compromise to me. The two Entries are different to an extent - the trick will be to differentiate the titles.

I think this article (and the previous one) is great and shows how language is evolving online.

I'll mention that you write 'abbrevations' rather than 'abbreviations' a fair bit. Do people still play RTS - Real Time Strategy games these days? Is it worth mentioning in the types of game section? (I still play Age of Empires II as that works on my computer, and not a lot else does).

Oh yes, people still play them, there are just different ones these days - although I guess there will be an AoE IV some day. I play Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40k computer strategy games for instance.
There also came some strategy game about Camelot out last year which was mentioned in games reviews quite a lot as far as I remember.

good addition, thankssmiley - smiley

and yes, I certainly misspelled that

None from me. You've managed to pack a lot into a small space and I really like the examples at the end. I'm impressed!
