It appears to be that time of year again where folk go mad and do a journal a day for the next month.
I haven't been posting much of late in hootoo but have been busy elsewhere and I do check in every day even on my day off from volunteer duties, (Tuesday's usually).
I've been doing lots of other pc related stuff, still learning coding and suchlike. My pc systems have been expanded and upgraded somewhat as a result so certainly kept busy. I'm currently running the technical preview of the next windows system, win 10 along side win 7pro, win 8.1 pro to name but a few. More about this in later journals.
There's been plenty happening at home as well with some mega modernisation works ongoing. I'll go into detail of these over the next day or two.
Add in ongoing medical issues in addition to the heart probs, well, it's been an interesting and varied time. Can't believe how time has flown, clocks gone back and we head into the depths of winter again.
Right, that'll do for number 1. Good luck to everyone taking part, I shall look forward to reading as and when.

I've just had to learn Windows 8. A nightmare at first, but once you get used to it - and I HATE to admit this - they're right, it's actually enjoyable to use.
I'm still ticked off about the way they messed up my Paint program, though.

A recent update fixed one annoyance; when I boot up my Win 8 machine, it takes me straight to the desktop. I can now be blissfully unaware of Metro.

I think this is the first year I really noticed the clocks going back, it's been too warm during the light hours to really think we're heading towards winter and then all of a sudden it's dark.
