1st Nov.
Well, its that time of year again where some of us do the Create challenge of wafflin...err, I mean, writing a journal a day for the month of November.smiley - spacesmiley - whistle

Last year my effort was interrupted by a house move which left me without interweb connectivity from 20th to the 1st Dec.smiley - spacesmiley - yikes
This means I am rapidly approaching the 1st anniversary of the move this month and it hasn't been all plain sailing in the last few months or so.
My efforts will be the usual mix of waffle followed by more waffle followed by even more waffle, mainly on domestic stuff.
I'm going to start with the sad bits first.
I am now, for the first time since age of 10, without a cat in the place. I lost LoopyLou (the Mad Moggie) on the 2nd Sept this year just 1 day after his 20th birthday. Its taken me a long time to get used to not having him around or any cat for that matter but I won't be getting a replacement now. With the sort of longevity I seem to get with my moggies a kitten now would probably outlive me. smiley - spacesmiley - yikes
As mentioned above there have been some interesting, let's say incidents, since I moved here which have been both stressful and sometimes verging on the ridiculous. I'll be going through some of these in my journal challenge over the next few days.
Meanwhile, back to reading what others are upto. smiley - spacesmiley - towel
Have a good day folks. ttfn..

Sorry to hear about your cat. Twenty years is honorable service and great care by you. It must have been a wise old mog!

My Granny avoided getting a new dog because she was worried it would outlive her. But the she got a cat (long story), which, while long lived itself, she outived anyway.

Still, it's hard losing a 20 year old friend. smiley - tea

Sad about the cat, but a good set of lives by the sound of it. I am a cat person myself to the extent that I can't remember the dates of death of my parents but I can remember the exact date and time for both both my cats.

If our two kittens , Beanie and Midnight, keep trying to eat my beard/nose/ears whilst I'm asleep they may not get the chance to outlive me!smiley - erm

My last two, many years ago, as kittens sharpened their claws on the LP record sleeves of a sixties and seventies collection worth hundreds/perhap thousands. You just have to love them.

Magwitch - My name is Mags and I am funky.

My smiley - bunny Tifa used to eat all sorts of stuff.

T-shirts, the sleeve of my winter coat, internet connection, power cables...

The look that she'd give you when you shouted at her.

Priceless.

Sorry to hear about LoopyLou, but wow, 20 is a great age!

Your reasoning is very sensible about not getting a kitten, but could you rescue an older cat?

Looking forward to reading more, you've set up a good teaser in your last paragraphs!
