I can find men attractive but that is as far as it goes. The only person who has come closest to arousing me is my favourite male vocalist but sex just does not bother me at all.

Me too, finally "coming out". Just realising that it is very hard to find others, you would think given the whole of the internet there would be somewhere to meet and discuss the matter but all I have found is sites where (despite my tolerance of others), I cant help but think what a bunch of freaks.

Welcome to h2g2 - although I'm afraid I'm not asexual myself.
Asexuality isn't a subject that is discussed very often on h2g2, but if you were looking for a supportive community to chat with and be able to talk about yourself openly (albeit anonymously) we are a great place to be.
This site has seen my ups and downs, and after eight years no other site has let me be myself in the same way.
I've left a welcome message on your Space (click on your name to get back there) and if you have any qusestions at all just reply to that conversation and I'll get back to you.
As you were...

You are definitely not alone, although it can be difficult to feel that way as it's not something that people tend to talk about very much in life.
Welcome to h2g2 - I look forward to seeing you around.

I only wish you guys had been online at the same time!
Welcome to h2g2, Librarian Drone. You sound like some one who will fit right in here. People who love learning and Researching always do.
I hope to see you around on other parts of h2g2 as well.
All the best,
Vip
