Kitish

It's been a very long time since I last came to H2G2. Today I found out that TB Falsename had passed away to my utter shock. I had stayed in touch with him long after leaving h2g2, although had yet to meet him in RL. Suffice to say it was a bit of a shock to realise the reason why I hadn't heard from him in such a long time was because he had been ill. I came here, and learned that Pheloxi had also passed away. Another big shock.

I wish that I had spoken to both of them more frequently. I really wish that when i heard that TB was in hospital, that I had made the effort to contact him by email more often to see what was wrong, and give him support. I wish I had taken the time to talk to Pheloxi more often. I wish a lot of things.

It's odd how the passing away of two people whom I've never met in my life has affected me so strongly.

In any case. To both their families - My best wishes to them as well as my sorrow for their loss.

Welcome back, Kitush.

Yeas *sigh* indeed; OK, it happens to us all, but still....don't know what to say.

R.I.P is all we maybe can say? death is very hard to cope with.

lil ~ Auntie Giggles with added login ~ returned

I'm so sorry some of you were not informed about TB and Pheloxi. Losing them both has been a shock to all their friends.

We had tried to inform others by either writing journals, changing our tags and leaving messages in Facebook.

Regrettably, in both cases there were friends not actively online at the time. I can only apologise for any distress this has caused anyone smiley - cuddle

I'm losing track of who people are these days. Pierce has morphed into a rat pie recipe, then a ripe pie crate, and finally some kind of pier named Erica.

Chica, are you the same person who used to call herself lil, and whom others used to call Auntie Giggles? If so, who will you be tomorrow?

I wasn't a close friend of T.B. Falsename, but it seems shocking and unjust that something as irreversible as death could take him from us. smiley - sadface He can't have been very old. Death should be for the old, not the young. I could understand dying in an accident like poor Tuck, but aren't illnesses supposed to be treatable?

Sorry to hear you hadn't heard. It's really sad. They're both badly missed here.

I think TB was in his late 20s. It'd odd.

Things are changing. Time is moving on.

Is that all!?!?! So young. He can't have been more than a couple of years older than me then.

Time is very unfair to some, either too miserly or too generous. smiley - sadface

On the other hand, I don't want to feel too guilty about using up someone else's allotment if I live into my 80s and/or 90s. I suppose I could argue that it couldn't have been helped, as my lifespan is not entirely under my control. Still, I would like to see science to find some way for people not to die *too* young.

True. It's sad when anyone dies, but it seems wotse when they're young. At least if someome's in their 90s you can take comfort that they've had a good long life.

Think it'll be a while before TB's memory dies here. Too many people to remember him.
