I'm 1 of the assistant community editors or <./>ACEs</.> here. We pop 'round to greet the recent arrivals (newbies) like yourself & leave some useful references. Being new you'll want to review the 'Welcome page'@ A53146 . And it was good of you to provide an introduction, so many choosing anonymity or whatever the reason, simply don't. When you are ready to modify that you'll be able to decorate or personalize your space. Look@'spicing up your page'( A690518 ) for an explanation of the options. And should you require some assistance consult the Personal Space workshop@ A1123354 .

Like most large communities we have numerous Clubs & Societies here. Those can be found listed categorically@ A660340 ...& that includes regional researchers' groups. A member living in Spain introduced something rather nice, she's been maintaining a photo gallery on a seperate site. The site itself is http://public.fotki.com/azahar/h2g2_friends & the relevant/corresponding conversational thread here is@ F119314?thread=421977&skip=3040&show=20 . (New additions to the gallery are announced there, photos commented on, etc.) Again, as with most communities we also have a newspaper <./>thepost</.> which comes out every Thurs. evening British time.

And finally my colleague Feisor has compiled a list of Hints & Links for new researchers@ A719840 . Take your time going over that...it'll certainly be there to refer back to from time to time!Down the page a ways you'll find a link outlining the proceedure for contributing to The Guide.
