Christmas is lonely when you're alone, but when your relatives share it with you via Zoom, it can be much nicer. That happened to me, and I also made some special breakfast dishes and desserts.

I hope you were able to have pleasant company, either online or in person.

We spent the day at the farm. Met some new members of the family, cats and mini-goats.

Did you need to stay six feet apart?

No, because neither we nor they had been near anybody else, so, as my sister said, we could be '99.9% sure' we weren't contagious.

Now, the dogs probably had fleas, so our dog stayed home.

That's good.

I went walking in the rain yesterday afternoon. It was about sixty degrees, and I only had to wear pants, shirt, and sport coat -- no overcoat. It boggle my mind that I could walk around outside like that on Christmas Day, the way I might in April or September. This is not a complaint. I only saw one other person, who popped out of a car to deliver a meal to someone in another trailer.

This mild wet weather was the best Christmas present I could have gotten. The humidity was high -- good for my sinuses -- and the air felt gentle -- good for my spirits. I had just spent an hour using Zoom to meet my relatives. Unlike past sessions, the microphone in my camera worked, and I did a lot of talking.

This morning I ordered ten grocery items online. They sat on my porch for 45 minutes because I was too wrapped up in what I was doing to notice. I must not be very aware of what is happening.

Glad you're having warm weather. It was 15 degrees the last two mornings. And it's been snowing for two days.

I think there may have been a storm that went to our south. The weather is freaky. How far are you from the Hoggetts' farm? If it's been snowing, and temps are 15, then it would be hard to go very far to get there.

Less than 20 miles, but it was quite a trip - fortunately, I wasn't driving.
