Have you tried the Search button lately?
Have you had any interesting results?
Using the Search function is something I do daily. Yeah, I know - it's part of what I do as Guide Editor and Post Editor - look for links and images to steal, er, reuse. So what?
Not only is Search a great way to link up to the Edited Guide - and, by unclicking the 'Guide Only' box, the rest of this site - but it's a journey that will take you to surprising places.
Just now, I happened to type in the phrase 'herding cats'.
I got two Guide Entries:
One was on clicker training for dogs. The eother was on the US Senate.
Now, THAT'S what we mean by 'unconventional wisdom'.
Try Searching 'sleeping dogs', just because it came to mind. The list you get will include 'Living with Bears' 'Keeping Guinea Pigs as Pets', and...wait for it... 'Preparing to Walk in the Highlands of Scotland'. Go figure.
I know Pastey's working on clever technical ideas that are going to make searching the Guide in future even more useful, on all sorts of devices. Which is supercool. I just wanted to say a word of appreciation here.
The Edited Guide is like Forrest Gump's box of chocolates. Really.

Whenever I want to post a joke, I use the search function to check nobody's posted it before.
Inevitably it tells me I've posted it ten times already.
