How do you do that?

How do you get those "Referenced Links" and "Referenced Entries" down the right side of your page? How come I don't have any? Do I have to use the GuideML tag or something?

Yup, and you have to have some content in between the and bit - hey, I thought you were an expert at this sort of thing. My illusions are shattered (as am I, it is 4.21am). Ever heard the expression RTFM..

Hey - I get it now - that bit just got parsed.. the "a href=" bit was supposed to say link and /link (I daren't try and do *pre* formatting mark-up)...

Well, I did "R" the "FM", but it's terrible documentation because it has no examples and is sparse on any good explanation of most of the GuideML features.

There, you see? Now you can reread my explanation and probably understand it. Then you can do all my GuideML for me, because I'm clearly not up to scratch yet.

Oh, just wing it. That's what I did and it seemed to work - and the bits I didn't know I stuck to HTML - and my HTML knowledge is pretty rudimentary. I just adopted the little cosmetic touches I liked - ie the marginned references, the headings, and the shadow on pictures (although it is annoying that this takes longer to download than the original picture did in the first place).

(marginned - umm, real word?)

'marginned'...you may have wine-related and/or sleep depravation problems at this point.. Margin is, of course, marzipan gin, a popular dutch drink enjoyed at birthdays and accordian festivals.

Are you trying to drive me insane - comments like that, this time of night, are lethal...

To margin - to get involved in an alcohol-fuelled game of mah-jongg.

Yipe. That was a touch into the left field bleachers, now wasn't it?

I figured out the "referenced links" business. It only does that if you use the tag. I was just using everywhere. It's nice 'cause it allows you to be selective of what goes onto the right side. Kewlies.

And I think it worked as well - being involved with a certain constant level of insanity started to have a slow seeping affect on my own sanity (such as it was).

I mean, for goodness sakes, I am writing an article on marzipan gin - and trying to work out how I can legally brew some up - aah that accordion music - I can here it now. smiley - bigeyes

Ah, it's always so funny when one sums up the culmination of days of insane ramblings by stating one's present actions without context. smiley - smiley

Hope you include the recipe in your writings. mmmm... it sounds like hot buttered rum or something. Except for the gin part, I think. Oh, those crazy Dutch folks.
