I'm bouncing around Europe again, now working on a PhD in Digital History and Heritage in Luxembourg. So now I have a great excuse not to update my woefully outdated Space, it's now a digital conservation area...

bouncing around Europe for a PHD in Digital History and Heritage sounds like great fun, I think a lot of personal spaces are conservation areas these days

Yes - it didn't exist yet when I first went to university, and now turns out to be exactly what I want to do.

I get to shoot lasers at castles! Pew pew!

And I thought you built castles.

Or at least fitted their kitchens....

I do - virtual ones!

Doctor of Digital History and Heritage does sound slightly better than fitter of virtual castle kitchens but perhaps slightly less fun

sounds brillient... I'm always slightly disapointed I stopped at my Masters and never went on to do a PhD enjoy the studies and shooting about over Europe

That course does sound excellent indeed and I'm sure you'll enjoy it

I'm pleased I did my PhD, as it was amazing to be at the cutting edge of the subject and doing something no-one had done before, but it was hard work at times, I have to admit... Made the reward of completing it all the more special, though

The digital history is hardly even born yet - and that of a minute country like Luxembourg should be manageable, to say the least.

What do you do after 9.10am?

I say "your neck of the woods" only in a very loose sense. I think Brussels is the closest I'll get to Luxembourg.

It's the KB extended family on tour. You'll hear us from Luxembourg anyway. It'll be a cross between a travelling circus, a Bedouin caravan and "Joxer goes to Stuttgart".

What about the Jackster, is he in Lux too now? How does he like it?
