Monty Python Foot Smiley
Wampus Started conversation Feb 11, 2003
I think there should be a smiley designed after the foot from Monty Python's Flying Circus. You know, the one that would come down every so often and squish whatever was going on at the time. It certainly would come in handy whenever a Monty Python thread popped up.

Hmmm. A bit of a copyright issue there.
Unfortunately the smiley list is currently closed to suggestions.

Are you sure that there would be copyright issues with the Python foot? After all, Terry Gilliam stole it from Bronzino's 'Venus and Cupid' in the first place...

Yes I'm sure. Terry Gilliam would have had to make sure there were no copyright issues with the *print* of Venus and Cupid he used at the time but the use of it in a Monty Python context will now be his copyright.
It's all academic anyway. The smileys list is closed.
