OK Here goes, I'm baring my tortured soul. No I'm not, I'm sending my ode to the world -

A QUESTION OR TWO FOR LATE NIGHT DREAMERS

You do not know me
We are but transient entities
Breathing our shared meltdown
Why then can I wear your body
Claim your mind and hijack your sweet soul

Without a murmur, with assured acceptance, and with love?

I do not know you
We are but shortlived travellers
Waltzing naked to shared music
Why then can you steal my centre
Fire my imagination and assimilate myself

Without an outcry, with infinite precision, and with care?

Whoa, deep.
As for assimilation, ever hear of the Borg?

I never said I did not like. It is a nice poem, what do you think I meant by "Whoa, deep". I do not know that much about poetry but I know a good poem when I see. My favorite poet is Edgar Allen Poe so when I say deep I do mean deep.
As for manners, I have plenty of that you zarking belgium!

Easy, tiger !!
(I thought it was mince, but I wouldn't say that to the lady).

Perhaps you'd prefer this . . . (or is that another forum ?)

There once was a girlie called Heather
Who dressed up in rubber and leather
Her favourite trick
Was to sit on your **** (knee, presumably)
And tickle your ass with a feather.

Ha! Mr 26211, I confess my philistinism too - I wandered over here from the Poetry Unlimited forum, tempted by your hints of limericks, and what do I find? Here's a limerick that's tame in comparison (if only I could remember the one about dynamite...):

There was a young lass from Kildare,
Who was shagging her man on the stair -
The bannister broke,
Whilst in mid-stroke,
So they finished it off in mid-air!

Woohoo - and by the canny use of the word "mince" (pronounced 'mence' by my mate John from Glasgow), do I detect a certain Scottishness? Scotland for ever! smiley - winkeye

How did we get on to limericks from my admittedly a bit over the top (MINCE?!) love poem guys????? OK perhaps this is a bit more your style:-

Fiercely the blood flowed
Icy the sholders of death arched, ready to spring numbingly upon him

Brightly the blade sang
Warmly the blood flowed about him while the battle horns rang

Feebly the water ran
Deathlike the shadows rose up; to greet him into their midst

Once more the sword sang
Warmly the blood flowed from him while death masks grinned

Nice Saga-esque Poetry!

Hi Sunshine Lady - sorry about the limericks - I was lured to your forum and had to contribute!

But WHAT an amazing set of stanzas! Almost viking in its tone, I'd say your verses are right up there with Beowulf and other anglo-saxon works of art. I'm not being sarky, by the way, I'm really impressed. Have you published any of your work? Let's see some more - vivat Sunshine Lady! Woohoo!

Nice poems.
Got a nice laugh from 26011. You got skillz, want to trick your luck with the limerick game. The forums are on Riffraff's page of bacony delights. By the way, why are you so zarking afraid to say dick? Even the FCC has nothing against it. It's not a curse word. A more embarrasing thing would be to call it by some of the nickname it has accuired. Can you believe Knockwurst?
