So, are the Afternoonites happy for a meet in Hyde park again? With picky-nickers if you so desire?
If so, what time? And where? Bandstand has done good service before...

some of us are going striaght to the publ.... via a pub, before which there might be a pub which immediatley follows a pub,

yes, but 2legs you always go straight to the pub. Personally I fancy a nice sunny summers afternoon in hyde park looking at the scenery.
Just wondered if anyone else did.
At elast we have 1 extra person to come along now!

ah. I guessed as much.
I went the year before and it didn;t rain, but we did have some bouffant rocker in the park I think.
Are we missing out on on AOR bands in Hyde Park for this years?

Queen are playing there on the 8th and REM on the 9th, but I'm not sure about anything after that.

Not all of us went to the pub. After our picnic in the rain (how very British!) some of us went and had a look at the Princess Di memorial fountain. Alright, we did so in the pouring rain, but at least we stayed outdoors for a bit

Frankly, London is a long way to go just to sit in a pub.

No its not I'm coming and sos my wife.and I'm bringing a baseball batand things .I must admit pubs are alright but not in July!!! Not until say nine oclock at least!!!

Depends on the type of riff raff hanging around the bandstand....
I always intend to make it to the afternoon meet but somehow I get delayed and end up making it up there for about 6pm. Bon Jovi ruined my chances of finding anyone last time...
So my plan is not to make plans... and then surprise myself one day by being on time...
