...developments is hard work. We now have a widget to bookmark stuff. Whoopie. My excitement is such that I am almost piddling on the landing.
The AViators are an off-site group with an on site presence.
We have no avatars or on site graphics beyond those TPTB allow us (or those that used the sneaky way around it, which is hugely code intensive.)
We have no on-site audio (this is especially important to me as a muso.)
h2g2: a 21st century idea stuck on a 20th century site.

RF, check the announcements (which, unlike pretty much every other site I know, don't make themselves known unless you subscribe to them.) It's a pathetic effort of no relevance whatsoever. I mean no offence to those that implemented it but, really, aren't there more important things to be getting on with? Such as allowing embedded links to the AViators' stuff?
h2g2 can die as a text site but I'd rather see it thrive as a multimedia site.
GB, Goo? Don't you know that Brunel is the future?
Ahem.

I'm not subscribed to them...I'm pretty sure they used to be on the front page though...can't find it now?

Is everyone looking for the announcements page? I couldn't find it. I found a funny little poem by 2legs though.
You may come and do whatever you like,
you can even bring your bike,
you can sit in the corner,
mubmle and shout,
or run about madly there and about,
you can drink their beer, whisky and wine,
you could even sit back and recline,
dunno.... anyone know what pub we're going to?
Maybe a half reasonable search engine would be a good start?

in Brunel form it's item 10 down left side of page when signed and around item 6 or so on left side FP when not signed in.

Sheesh, hootoo, I retract all statements to the effect that the search engine is possesed by Aleister Crowley: so don't go overpowering me with technology or anything, I'm evidently a simpleton.

fords - number 1 all over heaven Posted Feb 1, 2008
I got bored with h2g2 a long time ago and only stick around for me friends Seriously though, if this site were still in DNA's hands it would never have grown as stagnant...
