Kat, in an attempt to keep this thread on technicalities, I won't answer your questions here, but if you trundle over to F2068170?thread=623909&latest=1 and ask I will do my best to answer you. The same for everyone, please feel free to ask there.
Thanks for your list of technicalities! I shall be doing that as soon as I have time, hopefully tomorrow.

Oh no! Ming Mang... Don't do that. Don't point us to that page everytime we have questions. See... This is PR, and your Entry should be reviewed. Format *and* contents. Most questions relate to the Entry, and should be answered or addressed here, so we can help clarify our minds.
I, personally, think there are some bits in the Entry that need clarifying or re-formulating (assexuals masturbating, but not being attracted to sex, but to the nice feeling of having the genitals massaged - which for me is the same.) And I don't have the time to get involved in other discussions.
Please don't point us to that page everytime...

Mmm that's what I've said in the place we were pointed to. If the same things are coming up time and again then it means that they aren't explained right in the entry and need tweaking *tweak*

I agree. I'm giving a lot of thought to it.
However I do rather suspect that not everyone is going to be able to understand straight off and need time for the concept to sink in.
(I know I'm having trouble with the concept that people actually want to have sex, and that fact has been staring me in the face for years...)

I understand what you're saying in the Entry Ming Mang. I just don't comprehend what this is about, because I cannot imagine asexuality... But that is not of importance.
You give a definition. Asexual people feel indifferent about sex, just like some people don't care about the curling championship.
Then you give examples etc...
The problem I have is when asexual people start doing sexual things (masturbating etc..), but still insist to be called asexual... I think you should stress that there are different shades and greyscales between sexual and asexual behaviour. See? In the same sense that there are only very few purely sexual people and only few completely asexual people... I feel that this message is missing in this Entry.
The rest is actually quite good. I didn't know asexual people felt discriminated, an that they are organizing and stuff... Cool
HELL
PS: I think I have an asexual cousin. During his 20s-30s His family kept picking on him (find a wife, marry, get children, are you gay?). In the meantime everyone understood and is more relaxed about it...

How's this coming along? I think it deserves to make it into the EG, but still needs some work. For one thing, the smiley at the very end will have to go...
Congratulations - Your Entry has been Picked for the Edited Guide!

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

Well hey there everyone! I'll be your sub for the duration of this entry. Ming Mang hasn't been around for really quite a while. This poses rather a problem for me. We need to emphasise the fact it's all on a sliding scale I think was raised. If anyone has anything else they think needs clarifying or raising then please do say so that I can get started on it. Because MingMang isn't around I'll be writing these paragraphs/sentences myself so may still need input if you feel up to it
