A3543941 - Problems in Evolutionary Theory
Danny B Posted Jan 19, 2005
FM: The two Entries in question are hardly 'commendably balanced' - they were written by Josh the Genius (remember him?), which sparked off a long, *very* acrimonius discussion, which began much like the one that is taking place now...
In the end, the only solution was to take Josh's Entries and turn them into EG Entries, linked to Hoovooloo's Entry on why it was a load of rubbish, and several other Entries in what became an old-style University Project.
The two Entries to which evoskepsis is referring (actually, two parts of the same, long Entry) make no claim to be balanced in any way - they are simply the Creationist viewpoint, with links to Entries on Evolution.
This is why I suggested in my earlier post that we take this debate elsewhere - it's all been done before, and it got nasty...

if it got returned to entry, and gnomon's debuning of this was attached as a conversation thread, it would be far more fitting than having a discusion of in on peer review.
Surly the point of this forum is to suggest changes and improvments to articles written for the EG that are suitable under the writing guidelines, we've agreeed that this isn't suitable.

Hi evoskepsis, Welcome to h2g2, and Welcome to Peer Review
I think the guys have made it crystal clear that your Entry is not suitable for Peer Review.
Hope this 'hiccup' won't put you off writing another Entry within the Writing-Guidelines
In the interest of keeping Peer review tidy, please click PeerReview find your Entry on the list, you'll see either a X or Remove link, click that, it will remove your Entry back to your Space.

The reason I have waded in with my size twelves is because I don't like to see PR being abused this way, and in the hope that perhaps people like this will get the message eventually.
Move back to entry proposed. Seconder?

Problem 3 'Gene recombination confounded by gene mutation' mentioned in the Evoskepsis contribution, is supported by the article "The Evolutionary Dynamics of Digital and Nucleotide Codes: A Mutation Protection Perspective", published in 2011 in the peer-reviewed Open Evolution Journal.
