I once read about a TV series, where someone looked down a toy tank only to be blasted. someone else was killed by a dive-bombing model plane. It's probably the Avengers, but any ideas?

Sounds like one of the Stephen King short stories. Some were televised as a series, one was called Battleground and included a toy army being sent to a bloke and killed him.

No, it 1960s/70s. British, probably on film, and ITV.
