Having heard this game being played on Radio 4's "I'm sorry, I haven't a clue," and being peripherally aware of it's existence for some years now, I have still to work out how on earth this game is played.
Can anyone help me out with this?
(I can't connect to sites outside the bbc otherwise I'd just have googled it)

How to play? Well, as long as you make sure that you remember *never*, *ever* to play a reverse spoon from Bank to Edgware Road, you should be okay.
Though of course, if you take into effect the double constrictor of 1988, you are of course perfectly placed to play that, because you will have obviously come from Parsons Green.
Ach, so many things to learn, so many things to ponder...

Best way to learn would be to first train in the Wigan Alps for 20 years, surviving off native flora and fauna until you tap into your inner zen 
followed by months of studying and committing to memory Stovold's Mornington Crescent Almanac (available at most unrespectable book emporia).
Alternatively you can get yourself a tube map, watch and learn from some games in progress before joining in.
