As I'm sure you know, Sod's Law has a very important corollary.
Sod's Law states that "anything that can go wrong will go wrong".
The corollary states that "anything that can't go wrong will probably go wrong".
I'm particularly interested in examples of the latter, so would there perhaps be some kind of Research Assistant's post where I might investigate instances of dead certs going belly up and so on?
I have no paper qualifications for the post (Sod's Law! 
), but have plenty of practical experience having spent 10 years in a Post-Communist country!
