As an old ESL teacher, I appreciate the life. It has its ups and downs, and can be both rewarding and very, very frustrating.

I'm now back in the UK with moving boxes and a spouse who is already thinking we should do a companion column along the lines of The Reluctant Pom! For starters, I now have internet access, but e-mail is In only. Ah well...
