Acrostic Poem: Binary

I haven't done this before, so I hope I'm doing it right...
Here is my poem, such as it is.
Bits and bytes and mathematics
Involve this base for many tricks
Numerical, alphabetical and more.
And of course it is also for
Realisation of living through
Year of 10/10/10 or 42.

Because my brain is second-rate
I never learned to calculate.
No matter how hard I worked the sum,
All numbers eluded me. I was glum.
'Rithmetic's a puzzle to this poor fool,
Young people - pay attention in school.

Bits and bobs and this and that
Inaccuracy drives me mad.
Never mix your ones and zeros
Analysts are today's heroes.
Reading Icy's Prefix Guide,8A30560997),
Yobibytes beat Zebibytes.

There's a guide entry for nearly everything - all you need is a good memory and an even better search engine.

Busted, thats what they said,
In hospital with a broken leg,
Now its all in plaster,
A lot like hootoo's skin, alabaster,
Really, its awful to see,
Yet, like the skin, only temporary.

Forlonly she looked out to sea
On her own she started to weep
Love was lost there, out in the deep
In her grief she quietly thought
Against what life to her had bought
Grief and despair, an empty stare
Everyone agreed, life was unfair.
ps. hope I put this in right place.

Guess where this was written!!
British embassies instil hate,
In frigid lobbies you wail and wait,
No one trusts you – no one smiles,
And getting there means miles and miles,
Regarded as a terrorist,
You're better off if you go there pissed.

1. We've got a new word.
2. The title for this page is 'Acrostic for Twenty yet Binary poems are here.
3. Hence I asked if this was the place for the new poems for the new word, Foliage, if it isn't, I'm sure someone will inform me (in a polite manner) accordingly.
4. If I've posted incorrectly then I'll re-post when advised as to where to post.

The binary acrostic will be published on Monday. We'll then start a thread at its bottom for the new word. I thought it would be better if we all had a bit more time to think of our acrostic than just a day or two, hence the new word today for the week after Monday.
PBS was not referring to your post, but to the fact that he wrote his acrostic while waiting in the British Embassy in Morocco.
If I forget to transfer your acrostic to the yet to be started thread, please remind me.

I thought acrostic was an agnostic with a penchant for needlepoint.... you live and learn.
Falling silently
On cold currents,
Leaves make a pile.
Innocents will play
Among the yellow and gold,
Gleefully laughing,
Enchanting childhood

Fridays – spent lounging in Gold Mohur bay,
Osmosis providing both coolth and shade,
Life in the tropics is under-rated,
If thirst is not kept well abated,
As the temperature soars to forty-five,
Getting cool means staying alive.
Eight cool beers and come what may.
