I like cellos too, but I unfortunately get carried away on musical subjects. I very much regret that. I don't know if making it a New Year's resolution will help....

Actually, I'd quite like to! It would take a lot of work, though. I'm not sure I'd have the dedication of a Gnomon or a Recumbentman! 
Here's another musical thing I'd like to do: enlarge my collection of British folk music.
I have a fairly big collection of Irish folk, but not so much British. I have a much smaller collection of Scottish folk, and only a handful of English folk albums. As for Welsh, I don't think I have a single piece of Welsh music at all.
So I'd like to get a bit more Hamish Imlach for a start: he's a pretty good guitar player, a bit of a leftie, and a thoroughly witty songwriter (and story teller) - all of which I appreciate.
