And noticed it just in time, too.
I was checking out trains, ready for leaving the house in the next half hour or so. Then it struck me that the thing I was going to is *next* Saturday.
At least I wouldn't have been late.
Ah, glad I noticed that.

If you think of the journey as more important than the destination, you could have gone this Saturday.
Ah, glad I noticed that.

The dad of one of my daughter's friends arrived a year early for a concert.
Ah, glad I noticed that.

Better to realize it's next week this week, instead of two weeks from now!
Ah, glad I noticed that.
2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side... Posted Sep 5, 2015
I got my own date of birth worng once, and nearly celibrated my wrong birthday. I kid you nowt Mind, I still think we're in 2014, don't care what anyone else says now of course, I purposefully put my year of birth forwards twenty years, when the receptionist/nurse/doctor asks me for it.... just to get th e predictible gafooring laughter or giggles depending on whom it is I'm never gona act like I@m grown up so figure I might as well not pretend I'm older than I actually am we've only kept appointment times, dates, days right thanks to google calender

He was given tickets to a concert of his favourite band as a birthday present. He didn't notice that the concert was 14 months away. He turned up on the right date but the wrong year.
Ah, glad I noticed that.

Was it a really big, important concert? 14 months seems like booking a bit on the early side unless it is one of those "once in a lifetimes".
Ah, glad I noticed that.

Couldn't the gift-givers have waited twelve months before giving the tickets to him, to avoid confusion?
