No! That's not what I meant!
KB Started conversation Nov 7, 2014
I was doing a bit of online shopping at lunch today. And, well, I'll be more careful next time.
You might know the poet Tom Paulin. He's been a regular presence on TV and suchlike over the years. He's a bit of a controversialist, and he is by no means universally popular, but I quite like him. He's got a nice terse turn of phrase, he's pretty well-read about the Enlightenment, romanticism, republicanism in its various forms, and so on. And if nowt else he's usually thought-provoking.
So I thought I'd see what Amazon had.
Being a lazy bugger, I usually type the bare minimum into a search box to find what I want. So I sat there at my desk in the office and typed "Paulin".
Next thing, in an office full of people, a screenful of stuff like this flies up.

KB - listen to me - you're supposed to be the sensible one here, let me screw up like that.
You just keep learning to knit and so forth.

Ohhhh, it's about bacon/bread/sausages!

Then again, they say you should never judge a book by its cover, so maybe I'm being unfair and it's really about the frequency of dementia in toads found near the Chernobyl plant!

By the way, a woolly is a jumper/pullover. Woolley (Jack of that ilk) was a character in the Archers. Scarves are woollen

Just you think yourself lucky, I stopped at "woolley", mister. I was toying with using the word "scarfs", too.
What good's having a language if you can't bend it in and out of shape once in a while!

This language is a deadly weapon sometimes. It puts me in mind of Stefan from Switzerland, on loan to a North Carolina company.
First day on the job, Stefan marched into a female coworker's office and asked brightly, 'I'm new here. Do you have a rubber for me? I don't want to make a mistake.'
He NEVER lived that down. At his going-away party, they gave him a huge bag of erasers as a memento.

I've never heard of Brynn Paulin, but I've heard Bryn Terfel:

Just passing by as I check out all the journalistas. Mind you that doesn't look like a 2legs movie, 'Last Tango in Paris' is more his style isn't it? All that butter?
