Even looking at that schedule makes me feel tired, Elentari! smiley - laugh It looks like fun, though!

Elentari

I think parts will be fun, parts will be awful (particularly the lake swim...) but I'll be pleased when I've done it!

Blech.

Until tonight, I haven't managed to get out running for couple of weeks (since the 7th, Map My Run tells me). And tonight was miserable.

No particular reason. I could do a post mortem of food intake, clothing, weather, sleep or lack thereof or whatever the hell else, but all that nonsense was fine. Simple fact is,

"Crap days come and crap days go.
Whatcha gonna do about it?
That's what I'd like to know"

...as Paul Simon nearly said.

Or to put it another way, triumph of the lack of will. smiley - shrug

Are you familiar with "The Blerch"?

smiley - laugh Oh, I'm familiar with him, but I didn't know his name! smiley - ok

He's not all bad, though. I think it's good for you to indulge him. Not too much, but every now and then. All work and no Blerch makes Jack a dull boy. smiley - zen

I don't run, but I do ride my bike more often now and for long distances. I'm very tempted to buy one of Oatmeal's Blerch stickers for my car. http://shop.theoatmeal.com/products/the-blerch-0-0-sticker

I kept seeing 26.2 and 13.1 stickers and it took me months before I realized they were marathon and half marathon "badges". When I saw the Blerch 0.0, I wanted it. I think there were sightings of some runners in Boston last week wearing Blerch T-shirts. smiley - laugh

Oh, one trivial note about that comic. On the last page, The Oatmeal predicted Facebook's purchase of Oculus last month. smiley - bigeyes

I need to get back to reading webcomics. Over the past couple of years I've got out of the habit. Which means there's probably lots n lots of lovely backlog on the ones I used to read regularly. One was a long-form historical online graphic novel, which was frustrating because it updated one page per week. But it's probably complete now. smiley - laugh

I've lapsed with the old running, too. Easter and its associated friends, family and beer shunted running on to the back burner for a while. I feel like I just need one good run and then I'll get my momentum back.

The webcomics I keep up with regularly are,

XKCD at http://xkcd.com (Mon, Wed, Fri and also http://what-if.xkcd.com/ on Tues)[be sure to hover your cursor for bonus text]
SATURDAY MORNING BREAKFAST CEREAL at http://www.smbc-comics.com/ (daily)[Press the red button, you know you want to]
CYANIDE & HAPPINESS at http://explosm.net/comics/smiley - mod[NSFW]smiley - mod

There are a few others, like The Oatmeal and Hyperbole and a Half that I check on occasionally as they don't update regularly.
