Black.
No, orange...
No, black...
Maybe orange...
No, black, definitely.
Unless it's orange.
Or black.

No need to that. There are only 6 times pulling out Orange pairs would put another Black into the pot. Every Black pair puts one black back in. Every time and orange and black are pulled out hte black stays out while the orange goes back in.

usually, The... but my middle name could also be Trouble (especially where deadlines are concerned). That'd sound a little odd though: "Ripper Trouble Almost".
Hello Greebs Long time no chat. I'm working on a sequel to Next to the Custard, trying to get a few episodes done before any get published, trying to get ahead of the deadline game... (thinks: Ripper Trying Almost?). Anyway, you'll hear all about it soon. Have a few , and some .
Anyway, back to your regularly scheduled orange or black answer thingy.

Orange.
Got this answer on my own, but went to post it and realised a kinda fundamental flaw. since everyone else's answers are already posted, does that not make mine worthless? or is this another one of life's "moral victories" (the only real type if you ask me)
and i was so pleased with myself too...

It's both orange and black.
See, this is just like Schrodinger's Cat (A1073945) - we'll call it Greebo's Marble . The marble is in both states until you open the box and look inside, whereupon it becomes one or the other. Or possibly both, if it's a cat's eye marble.

I tried to do this one practicly again. Unfortunatly I only had 12 black marbles so I went to the marble store to get some more. But the store closed early and now I'm locked in.

Thwarted by a lack of marbles, Lucky Star and I used sterling and Euro coins instead. The answer we got was orange. However, I have a lingering suspicion that this may be like tossing a coin once, and it coming down Heads, therefore proving that "when a coin is tossed, it comes down Heads".

Ripper, the Almost - recharging writer Posted Aug 6, 2004
surely if you used Euros and sterling instead, your answer would be either Euros or sterling?

Ripper, the Almost - recharging writer Posted Aug 8, 2004
I suppose that depends on which one was left in the box.
Alternatively, we could start using black and orange marbles as currency.
(Is this completely off-topic or do we get extra points in next week's Post for examining all the issues involved?)

Not sure about extra points for drifting off topic... but me is enjoying it so no doubt that is reward enough... ~wink~
