starring Peter Weller (Robocop) as Buckaroo - John Lithgow's first film - Christopher Lloyd - at the time a cast of unknowns - one of my favorite guilty pleasure movies

Yep, that was a classic film.
Red Lectroids, Doctor Lizardo (Lithgow himself), Penny Pretty (or something like that ). I think I bought a video of it because I loved it so, but I don't knoe where it's gone.
For those of you who wonder, Buckaroo Banzai was just your average rocket scientist/rock star/everything else. He could do *anything*, and so the world was expecting him to defeat the Red Lectroids (or was that the Black Lectroids? ), who were infiltrating the planet by coming in through the 8th dimension.

Sounds cool! I've never ever heard of it though, which I suppose is the pont of this conversation.
I like Banzai, the TV show. Especially the one where Harold Bishop off Neighbors was ringing peoples door bells then nicking off! Brilliant

One of my favorites, it was recently released on DVD.
It also starred Jeff Goldblum, Clancy Brown and Robert Ito.
