starring Peter Weller (Robocop) as Buckaroo - John Lithgow's first film - Christopher Lloyd - at the time a cast of unknowns - one of my favorite guilty pleasure movies

paulh, vaccinated against the Omigod Variant

Yep, that was a classic film. smiley - ok

Red Lectroids, Doctor Lizardo (Lithgow himself), Penny Pretty (or something like that smiley - erm). I think I bought a video of it because I loved it so, but I don't knoe where it's gone. smiley - wah

For those of you who wonder, Buckaroo Banzai was just your average rocket scientist/rock star/everything else. He could do *anything*, and so the world was expecting him to defeat the Red Lectroids (or was that the Black Lectroids? smiley - erm), who were infiltrating the planet by coming in through the 8th dimension. smiley - yikessmiley - run

Sounds cool! I've never ever heard of it though, which I suppose is the pont of this conversation.

I like Banzai, the TV show. Especially the one where Harold Bishop off Neighbors was ringing peoples door bells then nicking off! Brilliantsmiley - run

Witty Moniker

One of my favorites, it was recently released on DVD.

It also starred Jeff Goldblum, Clancy Brown and Robert Ito.
