I'd agree with Hell MP. This would be the kind of thing I'd hope to read in <./>ThePost</.> The Post is the area of h2g2 where occasional articles (or even better regular ones) go down well.

On a formatting point you'll note that if you import your text from a different program (like Word) some characters (particularly apostrophes and hyphens) will convert into ugly character codes that it can be a pain to replace.

The 'house-style' is to avoid putting titles into CAPITALS. When you can get to grips with it GuideML, the mark-up formatting language used in h2g2, gives much nicer methods of emphasis.

Yes, we've found that demented individuals and cranks tend to put everything into capitals, so it scares off the rather more balanced individuals here.

Other than that, it is amusing and well written but it isn't EG material. However, it would go down very well in the Post.

What FM meant to say was I am sure:

I've removed the capiltalisation so as not to appear a complete foaming nutter and would welocme advice on how to re pos the article to ThePost where most people seem to think it should be.

I'd like to remind you genteel pedants who hang around the PR water cooler that if you find something charming clanging around PR that isn't quite kosher, you are quite welcome to alert the CAC or the UG of it's existence.
We've been known to thrust a newbie's work before the public eye in relatively short order.

Where does one find the UG? Oh yes, it was only created a couple of weeks ago: <./>underguide</.> I've never really got to grips with AGGGAG, CAC, UG or whatever other acronyms non-EG stuff can go by.

Pray forgive the ambiguity - I meant the 'named link' had only been created a few weeks ago. I couldn't help but become aware of the UG months ago when chewing the fat with Jodan.

With the time I have available my inclination is to stick to the sunny surface of h2g2 (in easy reach of the water cooler) rather than lift a manhole cover and delve beneath.
