Good news! Guide entry accepted! Yippee!

Bad news: Guide entry edited. Oy. I never thought of myself as one of those prima-donnas who would think of an editor as an axe-wielding insensitive goon, but here I am. Good thing I passed on that journalism career.

Anyway, it has at least inspired me to go back to the gude for the first time in months. I was frustrated with the lack of functionality and some of the sheer futility/time wasting aspects of writing here, but at least the functionality has improved. =}

Plus, having an entry means people may actually read what you've written, not that that's so important except in that it inspires commments. The whole point of this sort of community is to make those fun connections with like minded goofs, but while I soliloquize well, I find I don't comment often, and when I see an active forum, it's usually three people who obviously already know each other and don't much welcome comments from newbies anyhow. Still, now I've got a relatively boring (and rather chopped up) Guide entry, and I know that at least one person has read it and commented. Lovely! I'll try this again for a little while at least.
