This subject is most interesting, How ever it does not say that if you have a good enough teacher then your first attemt should not blow up in the kiln because they will point out the problems and tell you what to do and then they will recycle the clay and you can start all over again.

oh come on! explosions are fun! (kidding), well i think that u don't really need a teacher if u have a gift. plus u get the added bonus of developing ur own style from the start and u feel prouder when u finally do it rite.

Ah but there is something very upseting about haveing you work blown to smitherines esperecily if you spent a long time on it. (Sorry about the speling)

good point. well u could always use the fragments for abstract art. that stuff never has to make sense.

I could see the sense in abstract art but what ever I thought it was it turned out to be some thing else so I decided to give up and always read the label first and hen tryed to see what the nutter wanted us to see.

Pots that blow up in a kiln do so because their was an air bubble in the clay,meaning it wasn't wedged enough.
Clay is a very interesting medium to work with and night classes are a good way to start.
It will cost a lot of money to build a workshop
