Since you already had my fave character I thought I would add some more for you http://www.mrmen.net/ . Since I have just found out that Roger Hargreaves was born in Yorkshire, I thought the Mr Men should be my first offering to you. For any Ivor the Engine Fans, this is a pretty groovy site http://dialspace.dial.pipex.com/town/estate/ej24/ivor/ . Thomas the Tank Engine is always worth a mention too http://www.thomasthetankengine.com/ . I also used to enjoy Bod, but cannot find a website for those of you who don't know bod, he used to go into a shop and each time he would go into the changing rooms and try on a different outfit, each outfit he put on led him into a different adventure. I know that Bagpuss has already been mentioned but it would do not harm to give you another link http://ds.dial.pipex.com/nigel_baker/bagpuss/people.htm .

Thanks Jax, Ivor is on the cartoons page and I think that's where Mr Men belongs because they were celluloid cartoons weren't they rather than stop-motion figures. Not sure about Thomas - was there any motion involved or were they just stills? - you'll have to help me on this because I don't have a clue!

Mr Men was animation wasn't it, although I'm not sure about Thomas, I thought that was stills too - will some "live action" of the trains moving - although I could be totally wrong!

I think Thomas the Tank Engine is includable.
The one where Thomas goes fishing is one of the best.

Hi Doug
I think you may be right, I remember the stills at the beginning when they all started in the garages and whenever there was any action (if action is a word which can be associated with a still cartoon??) they did move! Although we seem to be blundering around in the dark on this one, we need some help I think. I will do some research and get back, someone may have come up with the answer by then!
Key: Complain about this post
