Would have to agree with you about years ending in 7 being good for City with their promotion on '66-'67 season and the cup win in '87.Let's hope the sequence continues.
You're right about players not wanting to play in Conference North. Relegation - as well as a certain amount of mismanagement - has caused qyite an exodus of players from Scarborough.Mind you, when Quayle - a former Nuneaton player,I believe - returned to Scarborough from Morecambe last season,he was about as much use as a wet fart in a hurricane at times.Don't know where he's playing this season.

Shame about Scarborough, it's a nice little ground, and I have a weakness for seaside teams - (with the exception of Blackpool.)
Good win yesterday - absolutely top class goal from Stern John, and an astute substitution from Mickey.
We also avoided relegation on the last day of the season in '77 and '97.

Just read on Coventry Evening Telegraphs web page that Citys fans are the second worst for trouble when travelling on the train to away games. What's your angle on the report,McKay?

Love to know where they got it from - there was some trouble at the QPR away game I know, but I suspct most of it relates to WBA away - after the games there are quite a lot of mobile phone shots on youtube of a bunch of baseball hatted morons running around in New Street.
Other than that, as you know Coventry fans have a very good reputation,
Wel''l have to see what this new man Dowie makes of it all at the club - I wrote to the club last week to express my disguhst at Page being given back the captain's armband after punching Doyle, and if you visit the LAST post at www.letsallsingtogether.com you'll see a lot of unhappy SkyBlues fans - mainly in their 40's and 50's
Good to hear from you Compo.

Feeling is mutual,McKay,seeing as it had been six months since our last contact.Bad result ay Leicester yesterday.By the way,did you know there's an "Ugliest Football Manager" conversation on h2g2? I've nominated Jimmy Hill and someone else has put Dowies' name forward.Could access the conversation through my pages if you wanted to save doing a search.
Key: Complain about this post
