A Conversation for Vodka
Chocolate Bars
The Wisest Fool Started conversation Aug 5, 1999
It's quite popular in some bars in the UK for bars of chocolate (candy bars?!?) to be forced through the neck of a vodka bottle and left in a fridge to dissolve a little over time.
At the Queens Hall in Bradford (West Yorkshire) they used to have Mars, Snickers and Bounty bar flavoured vodka. The result is not a smooth Baileys type blend, but a kind of sweet alcoholic choc goo with lumps in it which tastes surprisingly good.
In Glasgow they actually deep fry battered chocolate bars in fish'n'chip shops, so maybe the vodka option is quite tame in comparison.

There is a fish 'n Chip shop quite near where I live that was in the local paper for deep frying chocolate bars. He also did deep fried chewing gum? and at christmas deep fried christmas pudding!
