Might I recommend, if you get a couple of free hours, that you go and see the Exotic Marigold Hotel film. Judi Dench has exactly this sort of problem and goes and sorts out a bunch of young Indians who work in a call centre. And the film itself is very uplifting. Lots of smiley - rofl - lots of smiley - cry.

I managed to sort things out with virgin and there will be a small refund from the previous bill. We would prefer to have Don with us, but at least we are not being charged an extra months payment.

Aye! Jim, I am pleased for you, as we are still trying to get things sorted out with Virgin Media.

We have recently returned to them for all Three services, as it was going to work out cheaper for us, by around £18 a month.smiley - winkeye

That along with the large increase in Internet speed that we were promised. Which in fact didn't actually happen?smiley - erm

The change over didn't go to plan either, which even meant we lost our old phone number, along with other problems, which left us without a phone for a couple of days, and no Internet for four dayssmiley - sadface

I've been a mostly satisfied virgin media customer since 2001, way back when it was Birmingham Cable.

Still Incognitas, Still Chairthingy, Still lurking, Still invisible, unnoticeable, missable, unseen, just haunting h2g2

I've no complaints with them and I believe the majority of VM customers are happy enough.

However when VM get it wrong they tend to do it big time particularly in billing and possible over subscription of broadband in certain areas.Overseas call centres have also annoyed customers.My tip is to phone CS as near to 8am as possible so as to get an ONshore operator.smiley - winkeye

Ive discovered today that its not our Internet connection that's the problem, as we get the full 60Mbs at the desk top computer, where the Internet gets to first.

Its this new "Super-hub" they give you, the router part of it is the problem, it cant even send the signal outwith the room you are insmiley - erm

hi ive a tivo, my old book gave out on digi. still problem getting hd, no input on the rented tv ggrr, will have to sort it with rental company. just getting details for youtube to activate my account to tivo.

i beat you by years for boxes, i was a custermer from year one came to h2g2 in 2002 when ld went kaput.smiley - sheep jim.
