Thank you for watching out for me

Mother-in-law, Ursula died this evening Saturday, 24th February at 7.18pm. She went very peacefully in her sleep.

After informing VV and VC, I contacted my Dad to tell him the sad news.

Dad then informed me that he had dreamt about both families being on a train. That the train was travelling through glorious countryside and it began to cross a lake, the wheels of the train were in the water. Music was being played, Dad could here it was 'You take the High Road'.. the song of a lover who had lost his partner.

'Does this mean anything to you?' asked Dad.. I replied that Hubby's father's side came from Scotland.. which was something my father didn't know about.

He then went on to say: 'At the front of the train was your Mum and Mother-in-law.. they turned and smiled but did nothing more.'

The train reached the other side of the lake, all was peaceful. Then it began to return across the water. There was a feeling of sadness but no tears.. Looking at the back of the train, Dad saw my Mum and Mother-in-law.. then they vanished.

Dad had that dream at 1pm on Tuesday morning.. That was the day Mum-in-law was finally given liquid morphine for her pain, Dad didn't know that.

We are all a little emotional at the moment as it is the 2nd anniversary of my Mum's death on the 28th February. So Dad's feelings are heightened at this time, I am proud of him.. for caring so much for another Lady in my life.

Finally, I give my thanks to you, my friends in HooToo.... for your help and suppport over the last couple of weeks.. and beyond..

At least it was peaceful and relatively painless lil, and that is the most important thing. Give my regards to your hubby and all the family, I'll be thinking about you all.

lil you do have your troubles, wish we could do more but you know we are all thinking of you and tours. Let them know, and tell him your proud of him he will feel better.

What an interesting dream. I've even seen the line of the song you quoted, Artisan used to have it on his PS.

I believe that dreams, especially at times of great emotional stress, can cross over from what we accept as the “norm” to the realms of the “unknown”.

To me your father’s dream is beautiful in a sad way, but it lets all of you know that your mother and mother-in-law are now together and safe and happy.
