I'm one of the ACEs here (or assistant community editors). We pop 'round to greet/welcome the recent registrants like yourself & give them a few tips for navigating their way 'round the site. On the topic of 'physical location', I'm essentially north-east of you, in western Canada - basically north of Great Falls Montana. In any case, could I offer you a , , , or anything? Those're just a few of the smileys, you'll find the complete list (divided into groups) @ A155909 . It not only has simple instructions for using/creating each one, but should you ever need to refer back to it, just type smileys into the search window.

Now, being relatively new here you can look at the 'I am new, what do I do now?' page @ A868098, or for a welcome other than just mine, you can look at the 'Welcome page' ( A53146 ). And I suppose it wouldn't hurt to take the <./>dontpanictour</.> , even though you don't seem the panic-y type.

You might also want to look at 'spicing up your page' @ A690518 , or perhaps the 'picture gallery' @ A692741 . Like most sizeable communities h2g2 has a number of Clubs & Societies, you'll find those listed @ A660340 . It also has it's own newspaper <./>thepost</.> , which comes out every Thursday.
