Hobbit guide entry: "I have A Cunning Plan".

Gary Gygax incorporated halflings as an integral component of his Dungeons & Dragons and Advanced Dungeons & Dragons millieu following Tolkien's whirlwind success - although denied by the lead designer, Allen & Unwin still enforced name changes (hobbit to halfling, ent to treant, balrog to balor)).

How's about a compare-and-contrast-type entry on the two, on JRRT's hobbits and TSR's halflings? I'n an RPGer from way, way back (with sci-fi "Traveler" and Wild West "Boot Hill" amongst my other 'credits') so have a vague idea of what I might be writing about.
