h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Went in for a six-month checkup earlier today at my dentist. I've had a lot of cavities filled as precautious measures - and he keeps on having to redo them for no apparent reason (except for perhaps his own ineptitude). Well, he sits down to look at my mouth and my chart and goes "hmm, I don't think we redid this one..."

I was about ready to do awful things to him with that novacaine needle of his. He wanted me to come in later TODAY to get it redone. He just assumed he hadn't redone it.

Darn him.

Well, I convinced him to just wait and, I don't know, take x-rays first when I come back in December. And even if it needs redone, I'm going to get the other dentist in the place to do it. I'm sick of the man messing up my mouth.

But at least I came home for one break without having my mouth numb/in pain for half of it.

wow that sucks....I have really got to go and get a check up...but I know when I do they are going to tell me all the things they need to do to fix me up and I don't have the time if it's major pulling of wisdom teeth or something...oh well sooner or later somethings going to start hurting and then I'll have no choice

Dentists are evil. Find a vet instead.

I have to say that my dentist is rather nice. I'm not a fan of the concept of dentristy, but I decided to go a few months back while I could still go for free. I had a couple of fillings done and a general scrub and brush up, and have to say that it only hurt when he was pumping the numbing stuff into my gum.

Dentist: let's play the "how many odd shaped objects can I fit into your mouth at once" game.

Dentist. Veeery good - now lean back and say "ar"

Terrifed patient: ARRRRRGGGGHHH!!!!
