Amy: ear-deep in novels, poetics, and historical documents. Started conversation Feb 21, 2003
I'm sick of this, I really am. And I'm sorry for bugging/worrying/bothering all of you guys about this, but hey, this is the easiest way to tell a lot of people the same thing.
So. I actually feel fine. Really, honestly. Well, I have a headache above/behind the eyes from not sleeping last night, but that's my own stupid fault (needed to wake up to do homework last night, so I made tea, not thinking that it stays in your system forEVER). But, even though I'm feeling muchos better from the bronchitis/pneumonia/whatever the other week, I still have this odd raspiness in my upper left chest. So I went to the doctor (again) this morning, and he took a listen, and told me what I already knew - yup, there's something rattling around in there. No duh. He decided that this has gone on long enough, so he has asked me to get a chest x-ray at the hospital. That'll of course just tell them where gunk is if there is any gunk; I've already been treated for both bronchitis and pneumonia (same thing - super happy antibiotics ). He said that either way, I'd probably just have to wait and let it get reabsorbed into my system or for me to cough it out. Unless the x-rays reveal I don't have lungs, but instead small lungfish which serve a similar purpose. Or whatever. I'm sleepy.
In other news: Turned in my application for Middlesex yesterday and I am SOOOOO nervous! Prof. Hayes said that he'd be in touch about interviews... *bites nails* I really want this.
Also: White hot chocolate with cinnamon is the most amazing drink in the world. Fact.

Well, I did end up with asthmatic bronchitis this last time - walking up from the athletic center triggered it in the first place (it's about a mile long walk). But so far as I know I don't have asthma.
Jimi: It's gorgeous stuff.

*sigh*
Having my friend Susi drive me to the hospital tomorrow...
Hmm. other things I didn't mention in journal entry: 2 huuuuge exams on Wimpy (Philosophy - Platonic Dialogues - and Shakespeare), plus a Rep Class, plus a rehearsal thingie for the Irish music thingie that I'm doing with the tv studio. I'm not looking forward to that day.
Two weeks till spring break. It's not coming soon enough... *trudge*
O. And it's raining and cold outside. Grr.

Tsk--Make up your mind--a couple of weeks ago, you were complaining about it being nice out, since you couldn't go outside...

I still can't cause it's all rainy and muddy. Well, I can, but I'd rather not.
I merely want it to be pretty and for me to be well. Is that too much to ask?

Why not wish that you're taxiing into Heathrow right this very minute, as well?

Still have to go through customs at that point... um... I'd rather be somewhere else a bit after that.

Shall bring it up when I see him for results of the x-rays to be taken. Whenever that happens (I'm going tomorrow, and he made it sound like I didn't need an appointment. ).
Irony of ironies, it's gotten much better in the past day.
*yells at lungs and bronchial tubes* Make up yer mind, will you!!!

Of *course* it feels better now! The same way your tooth stops hurting when you make an appointment with the dentist, the funny noise your car makes stops when the mechanic is listening, and the way your hair comes out just perfectly the day you're going for a haircut.
I hope you feel better soon.

I had my x-rays taken early this afternoon - my friend Susi took me over to the hospital (she's WONDERFUL - and all excited cause she just got accepted into grad school ) and waited around for me.
Took all of like 5 minutes... woo.
Actually, what took the longest was getting the insurance and billing stuff correct cause the lady in the reception area wasn't familiar with my insurance - and neither am I, to be honest. (new plan as dad's company just switched)
So. I find out what they find out on either Sodit or Wimpy... Either they find nothing, or find something totally unrelated to the current problem (kinda like that possible diabetes mess back in the fall).
Is feeling decently okay too much to ask anymore?
