Sure! smiley - ok I'll put it on my intro to start off with, although if it works I might make an entry for it, but I'll let you know here in this thread (I hope).

Probably not in the next few days, though, 'coz I have that essay due in on friday, and I've also stupidly just started an entry on the seven wonders of the ancient world which I'm going to have to finish... smiley - erm

Oh, NOW I find the right thread to let you know about the zoo... but that's okay you know now... smiley - ok

The seven wonders of the ancient world were mostly greecian structures which were considered must-see's for the tourists of the time (during the reign of Alexander the Great, I believe.) The only one which still exists is the pyramid at Giza. The others are: (see if I can do it from memory...) The lighthouse at Alexandria, the largest and most powerful lighthouse for centuries... and remember they didn't have electricity. The statue of Zeus at Olympia, can't remember how big it was but it was pretty darn big. The collosus of Rhodes, even bigger again; the harbour entrance at Rhodes had a cliff on each side, and the statue had a foot on each cliff, so ships would sail into the harbour between his legs... until an earthquake toppled him so all that was left was his feet. The hanging gardens of Babylon, built by a king for his wife, who was from some tropical place, and got very upset when he bought her to his home which seemed like a dessert to her, so he had these gardens built which were just /incredible/; they had slaves working an intricate system of water pumps, to keep them green. And the temple of Artemis at Ephysis (can never remember how to spell Ephysis), another big temple with beautiful architecture and statues and stuff.
They probably would have added the Great wall of China and Stonehenge to the list, but the Greeks at the time had never been that far, so they didn't even know about them. Besides, Alexander the great wanted the main attractions to be fairly local, to encourage tourism and trade.

I would stay for a couple of hours until you leave and /then/ get some food, but I think the food court might be closed by then. Besides I'm really quite hungry... almost caught up to all the posts though... when I've caught up I'll sign out and leave, and sign in again when I get back. smiley - hug
