I'm logged in!!! For the first time since... wow... /that/ long???!!
And pants, I have less than thirty seconds of my break left. Not fair.
I'm well. Big hugs to all. Mmmwah!
PS Maree read this page the other day, and made me laugh by pointing out that I'd spelt 'Waikato' wrong - and I hadn't noticed in the entire last four years or so.

Thanks!
I've been thinking about all my hootoo friends, and sending astral hugs too, but it's just not the same as being here.
I've just discovered there's no more paperwork in the 'to-do' tray, so I'm going to be naughty and stay logged in, and catch up on reading posts between calls.
(I'm at work, btw. )

However I will try to come on more often... I like it here, its just I seem to get caught up in homework.
But this is the best place to be when you're sick. Everyone seems very sympathetic and the dont act like you have the plague.

Ellen Posted Mar 27, 2006
During the plague people wore such masks, with rose petals in the beak, to try and purify the air they breathed.

Not just rose petals, also other things such as lavender but I can't think of a word for a bouquet of petals.

Of course back then people believed that Miasma caused illness, a theory not disproved until 1858 when the great stink caused the Thames to smell and yet there were no Cholera outbreaks in that year.

The great fire of London was around about the same time. 1666 I think.
Hugs!
